Choose Ninh Van Bay if seclusion is the entire point — it's a boat-access-only bay with a handful of five-star resorts and nothing else. Most travelers are happier basing in Nha Trang and treating Ninh Van Bay as a one- or two-night splurge, not the other way around.
What Actually Separates Them
Nha Trang is a full-scale coastal city on Vietnam's south-central coast, with a 6-kilometer beachfront, a busy tourist strip, and an airport a short drive away. Ninh Van Bay sits about 60 kilometers north, across the water, and is reachable only by a roughly 20-minute speedboat transfer from a private jetty. There's no town there — just three isolated luxury resorts (Six Senses, An Lam Retreats, and L'Alyana) tucked into jungle and coastline.

It's also the practical choice for families, retirees, or anyone who doesn't want their entire trip built around one resort's amenities.
